Sam joined the firm in 2008 and became a shareholder in 2015. Sam’s practice emphasizes personal injury and criminal defense.

After graduating from Hillcrest High School in Idaho Falls, ID, Sam received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Brigham Young University in 2001. He received his Doctor of Jurisprudence at Willamette University in Salem, OR in 2007. While at Willamette, he served as Executive Editor of the Willamette Law Review and was awarded high paper in Employment Law and Public Policy.

Sam is in court on a weekly and often daily basis. He has tried dozens of cases through trial, ranging from property line disputes to felony assaults. In 2013, he obtained not guilty verdicts in four consecutive jury trials. He also serves as the pro-tem trial judge for Napavine Municipal Court.

Sam is an Eagle member of the Washington State Association for Justice, a member of the Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and a member in good standing of the Washington State Bar Association. He is active in community affairs, including many volunteer opportunities and serving on the board of the Lewis County Shelter.

Sam lives in Centralia with his wife (also an attorney) and son.
